Home Sweet Home

When I think about my house, I don't think about the bricks or the windows. I don't think about the kitchen or the living room. I don't even think about my room or my bed. All I can seem to think about when I envision my home are the two people that made it my home back in 1995 when I moved away from my parents in Florida to live in Tennessee with my grandparents. If it was not for my grandmother, Nin, and my grandfather, Paw Paw, I might not even have a home. If it was not for them I definitely would not be going to the University of Tennessee, even though they cannot afford this place. A house is just a house, with a front and back door. But a home is a place of love and family, where I can always go to get away from things, to share laughs, to talk to someone about anything, and to feel loved, even if its just on the phone.

So This is How the Grinch Stole Christmas...

I woke up a woman yesterday. I didn't really even know until I got out of bed and looked in the mirror. I still looked the same for the most part, except now I had hug breasts and a nice ass. I didn't know what the hell was going on, but I went with it. I called my best friend Chris and he didn't believe me when I told him. So I drove over to his place and showed him myself. It was weird thought because he kept checking me out and grabbing my ass. It started to get uncomfortable and suddenly I was feeling a sharp pain in my stomach. I went home to explore my new features, after all I love boobies. I had to go to the bathroom and I felt really gay having to sit down to piss. Then all of a sudden I just saw blood dripping down in the toilet. No way I just started my period. Wow being a girl is probably the worst thing that has ever happened to me. Then later that night I was feeling better so I decided to go out to the club with my boys, except now I was the chick. When we got downtown everyone was hollering and whistling at me. When I got in the club though it was tight because all these guys just kept buying me drinks hoping I would dance with them, but just because I have a vigina doesn't mean I want any penis. Im a lesbian now.

A Letter to You, Two

Chris,

Whats up man? Dude this weekend was sweet. I got f*cked up friday night because it was the last night of rush week. These little pledges don't know what the f*ck is going on haha. but then I came home saturday and went over to kym's with brandon and hayley. We didn't really do much any except smoke. Then sunday I went out to mona's for Nin's birthday and it was boring but the food was good. We played this gay ass game but my team won the championship so I guess it wasn't that bad. The whole day pretty much wore me out and I had to get up the next day so I just crashed. Monday I woke up and got ready to go back to Knoxville. When I got back, we smoked over at snatch's and then we watched that damn game. I was so pissed we lost. F*ck Daniel Lincoln. Anyways dude that's about it. I'll hit you up later.

Peace,
Bill

Dear Nin,

This weekend was pretty boring, as far as weekends in Knoxville are concerned. Friday night was bid night so we had a big party in the fort for our new pledges. They definately had fun, but I hope they enjoyed it because starting this week they'll be in for a rude awakening. I didn't feel good when I woke up saturday but I got some food and felt fine. Then later that day I packed up my stuff and came back home for my your birthday. Since the party wasn't until sunday, saturday night I went over to Kym's and chilled with Brandon and Hayley. Sunday I didn't wake up until 1 p.m. so I was already late for your party. I took a shower and just threw my clothes on then drove to Franklin. We played some weird game where each team throws these ropes that have golf balls on each end at a target with three different rods. The rope has to stay on the rod to get points, and each rod is a different amount of points. That night I just went home because I was tired. Monday I woke up and packed up to leave for Knoxville. I got back right before the game started so I just grabbed some food and then headed over to Zack's. We watched to game over there and I can't believe we lost. I hate Daniel Lincoln.

Love you,
Bill

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Observations:
  • Bright colors are the focus in the middle of this image (Yellow, Red, Orange, Pink)
  • Cooling color near the roof (Blue)
  • Stadium appears to be packed to full capacity
  • Many people on the floor, some in a circle around everyone else
  • What appears to be some sort of lit up tower near the middle with streamers attached from ceiling.

Inferences:

  • China fulfills the duties of an Olympic host country
  • Tradition and culture very apparent through decoration
  • Chinese show pride for their home country by filling the seats
  • Wanted to make the closing ceremonies memorable and majestic
  • Mixture of western culture and Chinese culture combined

The Chinese do a great job of conveying the culture of their home country while also utilizing ideas of western culture to portray themselves differently than their stereotypical communist ways. This picture captivates it audience, which happens to be much of the world, with bright and majestic colors that will stick in the hearts of many so that these Olympic games will be remembered for some time. When looking at this picture, one can feel a sense of pride in his or her own country by seeing the mass of people filling the stands to cheer for their country. The Chinese do a magnificent job fulfilling their duties as a host country with this glorious display of colors, securing respect from the rest of the world.

Pencil

Observations

Mechanical
No Clip
New Eraser
Light Weight
2.0 Lead

Inferences

Usually have a pen
Useful tool in classroom
Easily fix mistakes
Fits nicely in pocket
Stolen from roommate

I typically carry a pen because I just prefer using one. However, since I am taking Japanese, I thought a pencil might be a better tool to use in the classroom in case I make any mistakes while practicing Japanese strokes. I actually have not gotten any pencils since school started because I always use a pen, even in math. So the only way for me to get a pencil for today's Japanese class was to "borrow" one from my roommate while he was in class. Overall I do not really like pencils but sometimes they can be more effective then a pen.
